Create a scheduled insight

Write a prompt, preview the answer, set when it runs and who receives it, and save

A scheduled insight asks the AI assistant a question at a time you choose, and delivers the answer by email or webhook. Creating one takes two steps. First you write the question, then you say when it runs and who gets it.

Two things have to be true before you create a scheduled insight:

  • The workspace has AI Insights enabled. Without it, every run is refused.
  • You know what you want to ask. A good first prompt is one you already ask the chat every week.

The first screen asks what the prompt should ask, and previews the answer beside it.

  1. Select Scheduled in the sidebar, then New prompt.
  2. Under What should this prompt ask?, write the question. Write it so it stands on its own. A run cannot ask you anything back. It does not know what the chat has learned about you.
  3. Select Preview. The assistant answers once, on the right, and sends nothing. Change the prompt and select Preview again until the answer is what you want delivered.
  4. Select Next.

The second screen names the insight, then sets when it runs and who receives it.

Under When should it run, and who gets it?, work down the three sections:

  1. Name: check the title SEINō suggests, and change it if it is not right. The title labels the insight in the list, and it is the default subject of the email.
  2. At: pick the time of day.
  3. On: leave it on every day, or pick the weekdays.
  4. Timezone: SEINō picks your browser’s. Change it when the recipients are elsewhere.
  5. To: type an email address and press Enter. Any address works, inside the workspace or out. You can leave this empty when you set a webhook instead.
  6. Subject: optional. Left blank, the email is sent under the insight’s title.
  7. Webhook: optional. A web address that receives the report as JSON, alongside any email. See Delivery for what arrives.
  8. Public sharing: turn it on when a recipient is not a member of the workspace. Otherwise the link to the full report asks them to sign in. See Public sharing for what a shared report shows, and when to leave Public sharing off.

Select Save prompt to finish.

The insight appears in the list with its next run. It runs on its own from now on. You do not need to be signed in.

Open the scheduled insight to see its runs. Each run shows the summary that was delivered, the full report, and a result: Delivered, or what went wrong. Runs explains every result.

To change anything, open the insight: Edit under the prompt, or Adjust on the schedule and delivery cards. Turn the insight off to pause it. It keeps its runs and settings. Delete removes the insight and its runs.

Next: Public sharing, if anyone on your recipient list is not a member of the workspace.
